Gameloft has launched a new game: Green Farm. See if you can guess what its inspiration is from the description:
"Create your own eco-friendly dream farm filled with herds of cute livestock and grow yummy organic veggies. Meet fellow farmers, make friends & play together ‘til the cows come home!"
Yes, Green Farm is Gameloft's eco-friendly take on Zynga's barnstorming social game Farmville. It even has tractors.
What's more, Green Farm isn't a mobile game: it's a Facebook game, thus going head to head with Zynga in its home territory.
The game launched quietly on Facebook earlier this month, and has so far signed up over 24,000 active users.

It's not Gameloft's first Facebook game, but it's the first time - to our knowledge - that the publisher has debuted new IP on the social network first, before mobile.
Rivals may chuckle at the thought of Gameloft and Zynga as direct rivals, as both have faced criticism for a perceived willingness to make games heavily inspired by other companies' titles.
