Escape To Plastic Beach heading to the App Store soon.
The new Gorillaz album Plastic Beach has taken the charts by storm, and now it's heading to iPhone too, in the form of a game called Escape To Plastic Beach.
The game has actually made its debut as a freemium web game, with two 2D levels playable for free on the animated band's website, with fans invited to pay £1.50 to play the Unity3D-enabled third chapter in their browser.
It's that third chapter that will soon be released as an iPhone game, as the blurb explains:
"Experience Plastic Beach as never before. Guide Murdoc around the Island; dive through thermals, dodge pirate galleons, floating mines and more while trying to stop 2D from escaping. Eight increasingly difficult, addictive levels will leave you screaming for more!"
A release date has not yet been announced. We assume it'll be approved for the App Store, although going forward, there remains a question mark over games created using the Unity3D platform, due to changes to Apple's iPhone developer agreement.
