New mobile TV enabler promises to 'cut through the hype'.
Gorilla box says it will be able to roll out mobile TV streaming services in Europe and the US 'on any scale', encompassing both on-portal and off-portal channels. The company says it will work along a 'fixed fee' model, eschewing revenue shares, offering clients either an ‘à la carte’ menu of mobile TV services or a full managed service including content creation, WAP site design, billing, search and advertising.
Gorillabox founder and CEO Christian Harris - formally of Zed, AG Interactive and Image Semantics - said: "There’s been a lot of hype around mobile TV. But we’re looking to cut through that hype and show brands, content owners and mobile operators that mobile TV also makes commercial sense."
