Panicked planning spiked throughout February 7th-14th.
The search engine found that romance isn't necessarily dead, but it is certainly last minute.
In the run up to Valentine's Day from February 7th to February 14th, restaurant search via mobile phone increased by 359 per cent, while tablet search was up 135 per cent.
Additionally, Google says 62 per cent of total searches for restaurants in the US on Valentine's Day itself, took place from a high end mobile device or tablet.
That means an incredible opportunity for restaurants advertising via mobile, and it's clear that's what Google is trying to stress to eatery execs.
Results also show that mobile searches for flowers grew by 227 per cent during the week, while mobile clicks to 'get directions' increased 514 per cent.
