Over 200 acquired in the last week of 2011.
The SEO by the Sea web site has done some digging around and discovered that Google acquired 188 granted patents and 29 published pending patent applications from IBM.
It had done two similar deals earlier in 2011.
The patents cover a range of topics, but SEO by the Sea pulled out a few mobile related ones related to a javascript browser widget, NFC, web page rendering, voice search and more.
It's all a further reminder of the desperate landgrab around IP rights that's behind so much of the bitter litigation between mobile OS and device firms.
