Android publishers will soon be offered better opportunities to engage with their customers.
Back in June, Google announced it would offer its trusted Android app developers the chance to respond to the comments and reviews that users make on Google Play.
The tool was designed to enrich the communications between devs and consumers, allowing the former to tackle unfair reviews, acknowledge praise, and analyse criticism. Good news, of course, for the elite publishers, but of no use to startups without a 'Top Developer Badge'.
However, a Google spokesperson now tells The Next Web: "The feature originally rolled out to top developers, and we’re gradually expanding it to additional Google Play developers.”
Google Play had 600,000 apps when the feature was originally launched, but the store crossed the 700,000 milestone in October, so it stands to reason Google wants to nurture the growth rate by looking after its business and consumer customers alike.
