Pandora, MOG and other services suffering.

Android version 2.2 - or 'Froyo' as it's known - has been winning rave reviews from users for its new features, including the ability to create a wireless hotspot on the fly.

However, it's emerged that a glitch has made Froyo not such a great experience for users of streaming music apps like Pandora and MOG.

Due to a change in media frameworks, streaming music apps using the AAC+ and eAAC+ codecs now "makes your headphones sound like a pair of tin cans" according to TechCrunch, which has been monitoring user dissatisfaction on forums.

"We have fixed the bug, and are working with our partners to update the affected Android devices as quickly as possible," says Google, in a statement.

How quickly will that be? Froyo is rolling out with different operators and handset makers at different times, so some users should have their music quality restored quickly, while others may have to wait.
