No more tedious typing, map fans
Google has released v4.1 of its Google Maps for Mobile app, adding voice search functionality for Symbian and Windows Mobile devices for the first time.
The feature, which is already available as part of Google Maps for Android and BlackBerry handsets, allows users to 'tell' the app the locations they are looking for without having to type the information out.
Google has worked a few more new features into the updated app, including the ability for users to customise their voice search settings to match various English accents, and Mandarin Chinese.
Earlier this week Google Maps Navigation was released as a beta for Android phone users in the UK and Ireland.
