Streamezzo is targeting its new rich media deployment software at mobile operators.
The France-based company says Karma is an end-to-end 2.5G/3G offering that includes the hardware, software platform and services needed to launch an array of rich media apps - including mobile TV and music downloads - for mobile phones.
The solution - availble from today - is built around Streamezzo’s Rich Media Software Suite, which consists of three core components: Workbench for content authoring, Client for on-device rendering, and Server for content management and delivery.
Karma is available under licence or as hosted managed service - either way, Streamezzo reckons it can build content services for operators and launch them within a 60-90 day period.
Alain Blancquart, CEO and president of Streamezzo, said: "In implementing our platform with operators around the globe, we’ve learned that the vast majority of them need a turnkey approach with the benefits of rapid deployment, lower costs and field-tested service offerings. Today’s announcement represents the culmination of that knowledge and experience."
