The latest startup to train its sights on the iPhone games market is Good Game Productions, a Californian company founded by games industry veteran Grantley Day.
The company plans to focus on iPhone and Facebook, but don't make the mistake of thinking this is about casual gaming.
Instead, VentureBeat reports that the company will be making massively multiplayer online games, which will be free to play and funded by virtual items.
Day's history working on games like Dungeons & Dragons Online and Neverwinter Nights 2 should have hardcore MMOers (is that a word?) salivating at his new cross-platform plans.
However, it remains to be seen how much of an appetite there really is for this genre on both iPhone and Facebook.

The company has already released its first game: free RPG Warrior Epic: Sagas (App Store link). Its website lists two others in development: Grand Chase: Epic Battles, and GoCash: Locator.
