Not bad for 20 days.
Glu Mobile says its Deer Hunter Challenge iOS game has been downloaded two million times in its first 20 days on the App Store.
The game is free to download and play, with users paying for virtual items and credits via in-app payments.
Deer Hunter Challenge is based on Atari's existing Deer Hunter game franchise, for which Glu has racked up more than ten million total downloads from various mobile versions.
"By offering Deer Hunter Challenge as a free-to-play mobile game we've seen continued growth and brand visibility with an all new audience of gamers," says Atari's EVP of online and mobile Thom Kozik.
The news follows Glu's announcement last November that its first two freemium iPhone games - Gun Bros and Toyshop Adventures - had both been downloaded more than one million times in their first weeks of availability.
