Latest installment of the franchise will be released in 4Q10

Glu Mobile will release a Call of Duty: Black Ops mobile game in support of Activision's console launch of the same title in the fourth quarter of this year.

The release, which will be made available for both feature phones and smartphones, is the latest fruit of the long running and recently extended licensing agreement between Glu and Activision.

To date Glu has released six games as part of the tie-up, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Force Recon, Call of Duty: World at War, Tony Hawk: Vert and Guitar Hero 5 Mobile.

Newly-installed Glu CEO Niccolo Masi said: "Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to be one of the biggest entertainment events of the year, and we are excited to take part in this historic launch by continuing our partnership with Activision to create the next mobile Call of Duty title."
