Exclusive for Java games, that is - but "non-exclusive option" for other platforms...
Mobile games publisher GlobalFun has inked an exclusive deal with Turner Broadcasting to develop and distribute Java games based on its brands in the EMEA region.
That includes Turner's Cartoon Network franchises like Ben 10, The Power Puff Girls and Johnny Bravo. GlobalFun has already been working on individual games, but the new deal means it'll be Turner's sole J2ME partner.
The deal also gives GlobalFun a "non-exclusive option" to release games on other mobile platforms, presumably including iPhone and Android.
Turner commercial director Joe Braman described GlobalFun as "a creative and proactive company who focus on solutions for content owners and operators".
The first game to be released through the deal will be Ben 10 Alien Force this Autumn, co-inciding with a new movie.
