BOKU is one of the firms leading the 'pay by mobile' space, offering online merchants to option to let customers pay for stuff from the phone bill at checkout.
End users enter their phone number to check out and confirm with the letter "Y" via SMS.
This deal will further expand BOKU's reach. GlobalCollect is active in over 200 countries, and describes itself as a full service partner that does more than just process payments, but also advises clients on how to increase transaction volumes, expand distribution channels, and reduce costs by streamlining back office processes.
The firm is active in travel, ticketing, telecommunications, retail, publishing, portals, online gaming, and digital content.

BOKU's mobile payment network is available in 67 countries through more than 260 mobile network operators
