Gigafone's RingMate mobile marketing system is being showcased by Ogilvy UK’s Innovation Lab.Ogilvy is regarded as one ad-land's most progressive agencies when it comes to mobile. Its Innovation Lab acts as a kind of permanent exhibition of new mobile advertising and marketing concepts, which the agency demonstrates to brands.
RingMate is a system that activates full screen ads to opted-in handsets during incoming calls and messages. Following a call or text, consumers can click-through to the mobile web or make a call in response.
Scott Seaborn, head of mobile technologies for Ogilvy Group UK, said: “At Ogilvy, we strive to stay ahead of the latest trends in brand engagement, and the Gigafone full-screen, user profiled solution gives us the opportunity to put this new type of marketing under the spotlight”.
Gigafone has also initiated a mobile marketing trial with brands, agencies, operators and consumers to foster discussion and define some of the key principles for facilitating ongoing consumer brand interaction through the mobile channel.
