UK MVNO has a putsch after discovering one per cent of customers consumer over a third of its data.
Giffgaff launched in 2010, and uses the O2 network. It relies on community channels to communicate with users and keep costs down. This 'social' strategy has enabled it to offer calls, text and unlimited data at £10 per month.
But as with any other network, there's unlimited and there's unlimited.
Now, it's taken action to restrict the activity of those who, frankly, take the piss.
It's descried that users may not use their SIM Card to:
* Connected to any other device including modems, dongles or any other way to connect to a PC
* Do something fraudulent
* Act in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other Giffgaff customers

Those that infringe will have a data cap imposed on them.
“As you can probably imagine, the actions of the few using data in this fashion have a couple of major consequences if we allow it to continue,” the company said in its blog.
“As we don’t want either customers or our long term business health to be affected, we’re put into place a new set of checks on people’s patterns of data usage.”
