GfK Asia to collect data for MEF

Will provide ‘Mobile Content Industry Report’ to trade body members.

GfK will be collecting sales data from content aggregators, operators, online portals, aggregate and process the data and then produce detailed, analytical reports to contributors.

The pilot starts in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, and the final aim the report will be to provide guidance to the potential market size of the industry, channel and pricing structures, along with a hit list of mobile content products.

Neeraj Roy, MEF Asia chairman, said: “We welcome this opportunity to collaborate with GfK on its research into mobile content consumption habits in key Asian markets and value the important insights that this will bring to the MEF Membership and the mobile media industry as a whole.”
