New software can analyse performance by phone, country and network
Independent app store GetJar has unveiled a set of tools that it says enables developers to measure the conversion rate of downloads to actual users.
The solution works for Android, BlackBerry, Flash, Java, Symbian and Windows Mobile apps and allows developers to analyse the performance of their content by phone, country and network.
Any developer registered with GetJar can add a conversion code into their apps. When the app is opened for the first time it will notify GetJar, after which point developers can see the results of the analytics securely on the GetJar website.
Chris Dury, VP of Product for GetJar, said: “This conversion data will allow developers to improve their apps, increase conversion, and gain an advantage over the competition, by increasing users, not just downloads.”
