App store provider opens new Silicon Valley office and confirms key hires, including Glu vet Patrick Mork.

GetJar has opened a new corporate and sales office in Silicon Valley and expanded its executive team with two hires.

Coming in as VP of marketing is Patrick Mork, who was previously Marketing Director for EMEA at games publisher Glu Mobile.

Also joining as VP of Product is Chris Dury, who previously led product management and marketing with mobile productivity app specialist scanR.

GetJar provides partners including Blackberry, 3UK, Vodafone, Smart (Philippines), Maxis and Celcom (Malaysia) with mobile app catalogues and storefronts, in addition to maintaining 200,000-member develop community.

The Silicon Valley office will spearhead the company's expansion in North America.
