US ad and search specialist raises fresh investment from SpongeTech.
GetFugu has developed a 'See It, Say It, Find It, Get It' platform that combines image recognition, voice recognition and location-based tech.
Intriguingly SpongeTech invested in GetFugu after becoming a customer of the firm. GetFugu's system will point SpongeTech consumers to the nearest retail location that carries SpongeTech products.
They will then be automatically connected to SpongeTech's corporate Internet e-commerce portal.
Spongetech makes various cleaning products for the home, car and pet markets.
"SpongeTech expects to be in over 100,000 locations nationwide by the end of the year. Purchases of our products are primarily impulse oriented, driven by our extensive branding and advertising campaigns.

"As we look to immediately satisfy our customers demand, GetFugu will literally change the way consumers behave," said COO of SpongeTech, Steven Moskowitz.
In July, ME revealed that one of GetFugu's major investors is Carl Freer, who was a director of the collapsed Gizmondo portable gaming company.
