Users can search and share audio guides in more than 20 languages
Maps & GPS outdoor solutions specialist Geolives has released an iPhone app, vocalised by Acapela.
The Geolives-M app enables users to select routes sorted by activity around their GPS location, with access to images, YouTube videos and written information read by a synthesized voice.
It also offers Wikipedia geo-localised articles (more than 80 000 available in 13 languages), again read back to the app user.
The app costs €4.99 with one synthesized voice from Acapela. Additional voices can be downloaded €1.99 per voice.
Languages supported include Czech, Dutch NL, Dutch BE, English UK, English US, Danish, Finnish, French, French Canadian, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish .
