Gaming jumps to a new pay per play model

Gamefederation and Jump Games are to roll out a pay-per-play games offering across Europe.

With the pay-per-play model, gamers download games for free and only pay when they want to play. “The pay-per-play function gives the user the perfect opportunity to ensure that the game is worth the money and this will for sure lower the threshold for people wanting to try mobile content.” said Aaron Whiteman, general manager at Jump Games EMEA.

The solution, called Jump Arcade, will be powered by Gamefederation’s Mobile Services Broker technology, GEX. This provides a D2C distribution channel for content, which links to international payment services and operators, and can process micro payment transactions.

The portal will offer paid and free content and will initially be launched in England, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark. The first operator to launch Jump Arcade in Europe will be Tele2 in Sweden.
