Gamevil's Q3 financials show 14% sales boost

Led by its home market.

Mobile games publisher Gamevil has reported its Q3 financials, with sales up 14% year-on-year, and net income up by 11%.

The company reported revenues of KRW 6.6 billion for the quarter - around $5.9 million - with net income of KRW 3.15 billion ($2.8 million).

The company says that its sales were led by games including Zenonia 3 and Baseball Superstars 2011 in its home market of South Korea, including in-game virtual item sales.

However, the company continues to set its sights on new platforms, and overseas markets.

"We're aggressively expanding to multiple platforms including feature phones, smartphones, tablets, portable gaming devices as the landscape is rapidly changing," says CFO Yong Kuk Lee.
