South Korean publisher is profiting from the apps era.
Gamevil reported strong Q2 results this week, partially fuelled by its success releasing mobile games for iPhone and Android.
However, its VP and head of Gamevil USA Kyu Lee says the publisher isn't jumping to any conclusions about the relative merits of those two smartphone platforms.
"I don't think it is fair to compare and say which is better or worse," he tells ME. "It's too early and it's different, but I'm extremely excited to see how each grows."
Lee says that Gamevil has prospered on the App Store by keeping its focus on RPGs and sports RPGs, for example Zenonia and Baseball Superstars respectively.
"We kept ourselves focused to a specific category, and as a result we've built an extremely loyal customer base in a very short amount of time," he says.
