Gameloft to use Netsize for payments

Gameloft is using Netsize's mPayment platform to power its own D2C content transactions.

The French firm signed a pan-European agreement with its compatriot to offer premium SMS and WAP billing wherever the offer is available from operators.

This includes Payforit initiative in the UK, for which Netsize is an accredited payment intermediary (API).

Gameloft says the deal with give its customers greater pricing flexibility and more transparent billing.

"Mobile payment is critical to our business and our decision to work with Netsize is based on how their platform enables us to give our customers the best buying experience," said Eve Arakelian, B2C director of Gameloft. "Netsize provides a solid platform solution that does just that while at the same time being able to handle very large transaction volumes in the most efficient way."

The new agreement builds on a long a relationship between the two companies. Gameloft has used Netsize solutions since 2003.
