French mobile games publisher posts sales of 26.2 million for the period.
Mobile games accounted for 98 per cent of Gameloft's 3Q08 sales, with the remaining two per cent attributed to Nintendo DS, Xbox Live Arcade and Nintendo WiiWare.Europe represented 41 per cent of sales during the period, North America 31 per cent and the rest of the world 28 per cent.
In fact, sales in North America were up 18 per cent on a comparable exchange rate basis, which Gameloft puts down to the success of its iPhone games.
Gameloft anticipates its growth rate to accelerate dramatically in 4Q08 due to the upcoming release of several games for iPhone, N-Gage, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii.
Last week EA confirmed it generated revenue of $47 million in its quarter ending September 30th, representing 24 per cent growth year-on year.
