Gamecot opens B2B app marketplace

Online trading area facilitates deals between developers and publishers.

Gamecot is the brainchild of mobile games and apps developer Vijay Sharma, whose big claim for the concept is that it “helps creativity find the right commercial value.”

The site invites developers to sign up and submit images, videos with some information about their app or game. This is then made available to publishers who are also site members. Interested publishers can then purchase licences for titles.

Once the transaction is completed, developers send their game code to Gamecot, which passes on the information to the purchasing publisher.

Vijay Sharma, founder of Gamecot, said: “As an independent developer and publisher I personally felt a need of a platform where I could buy and sell game licenses. There was no such solution existing so we developed Gamecot.

"There are multiple types of transactions that a developer and publisher can choose from to make their deals successful and safe."

Sharma says over 60 developers and publishers registered in the first day of availability, with games available across 18 different platforms.
