Research commissioned by Mobile Distillery claims that only 7% of FTSE 100 companies have a head of mobile or mobile strategist.
For those of you who aren't mathematicians, that means 93% don't - either because they're not doing much in mobile, or because mobile falls under other positions - new business development for example.
Even so, Mobile Distillery thinks they're missing a trick. "It's great to see that 7% already recognise the importance and potential of the channel, but there's much more that can be done across the board to demonstrate the benefits coherent mobile strategies can bring to marketing, sales and customer service," says COO Eric Lemarechal.
