In your face, Apple walled garden.
The Financial Times made big waves in June when it withdrew its native apps from the Apple App store in order to focus fully on web apps.
This gave the newspaper the ability to get its app loaded on iOS devices without having to abide by Apple's rules on subscription charges and rev shares.
Now, the FT has revealed that 1m users have downloaded the app and that 20 per cent of total page views and 15 per cent of new B2C subscriptions are now coming directly from mobile and tablet devices.
It also says that these readers are also more engaged, with FT.com users who register on mobiles and tablets 2.5 times more likely to subscribe.
