FrogTek wins Vodafone Clicks contest

Spanish app for stock control bags €150,000 prize, while UK ParcelGenie claims runner-up spot.

Vodafone set up Clicks to identify and support the application development community.

Seven local winners represented their countries in the live final during the PICNIC Festival in the Netherlands last week.

FrogTek won with an app that uses a basic Android smartphone and barcode reader to enable retailers to access sophisticated stock control and analysis systems.

ParcelGenie came second with the world’s first ‘Instant Gift Messaging’ service that makes giving gifts such as chocolates, wine or novelty badges to friends as simple as sending a text message. It scooped €50,000.

And in third (€25,000 prize) was Wunderlist (Germany) with a task and list management app to support over-the-air synchronisation across multiple devices.
