fring's new community thing

fring has launched of a new version of its free mobile community smartphone app.

The download lets users talk, chat, and interact with other fring users for no charge. The new version adds the ability to swap music tracks, pictures, video clips and other files, and interact via mobile or PC.

fring also offers embedded access to social networks such as Skype, MSN Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, Twitter, and Yahoo!. The apps works on all Nokia Series 60 devices, Sony Ericsson UIQ Smartphones and Windows Mobile devices.

Avi Shechter, CEO of fring, said: “Mobile phone owners are clearly attracted by sophisticated devices, but often use only their most basic features. We believe the future will see the mobile device at the heart of the users’ communication and internet experience. We are witnessing something of a revolution; fring is changing the way people interact with their mobile and internet worlds on a daily basis.”
