Freddie Flintoff iPhone game hits the App Store

Sport Central's title goes live just in time for the final Ashes test.

Want a way of ensuring Andrew Flintoff bowls for days without breaking down injured? There's an app for that! Well, an iPhone game at least.

As the final Ashes test begins at The Oval, Sports Central has released Freddie Flintoff Cricket '09 on the App Store.

The £1.19 game isn't Ashes-branded, but does put players in the shoes of England's unshy and quite-literally retiring all-rounder.

It's one of a range of mobile cricket games released to tie in with this year's England-Australia battle. EA Mobile has released EA Cricket 10 for Java phones, for example.

It's unclear what relationship (if any) Sports Central has with UK publisher Player One, which has traditionally held the mobile rights for Flintoff games, though.
