They'll get first dibs on the social location app's new Celebrity Mode.
Mobile social location service Foursquare has announced its biggest promotional partnership yet, with MTV and VH1.
They'll be plugging the service across shows including The Hills, Real World and Jersey Shore on MTV, and The T.O. Show and What Chilli Wants on VH1.
What's more, the broadcasters will also be the first to use a new Foursquare feature called Celebrity Mode, which let users see tips left by celebs at real-world venues, although NOT their actual checkins, to deter stalkers.
Well, we say celebs... The first to take advantage is Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D (pictured) Comically, when I click on that link, it tells me he "hasn't added any tips near Bishops Stortford yet". No kidding.
MTV and VH1 will also launch 'programming-related badges' on Foursquare, while also working the SoLo service into their online activities, and location-based sponsorship campaigns.

Intriguingly, the announcement also holds out the prospect of "dedicated short form Foursquare programming" on MTV and VH1, offering tips and other content for the app. No news on when or how, though.
"Our audience wants more ways to engage with their favourite shows and celebrities they watch and love," says MTV and VH1 Digital's general manager Kristin Frank.
"This partnership with Foursquare and the new Celebrity Mode gives fans a way to connect and get a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of their favourite MTV and VH1 talent by finding out about their favourite hangouts, clubs and shops."
Could UK celebs bag access to the Celebrity Mode too? We're itching to see if Foursquare signs similar deals on this side of the Atlantic. Kerry Katona's agent is presumably on the phone to them right now...
