Foursquare relaunches its app gallery

Calls for developers using its API to submit their services.

Social location service Foursquare has relaunched its App Gallery, which spotlights third-party apps and services that use the Foursquare API.

Besides a spruced-up design, the gallery now allows developers to submit their own apps, rather than relying on Foursquare to do it for them.

"We loved responding to your emails one at a time, but we think this approach will be faster and more efficient," explains the Foursquare blog.

Each app gets its own page on the gallery, with screenshots, descriptions and links to download them.

Apps already being showcased include iPad Foursquare client Dash Four, augmented reality service Tagwhat, livestreaming video app Bambuser, and location-based game Mob Zombies.
