It's the mayor of the milestone hotel.
Foursquare just keeps on growing despite the pressure exerted in the LBS space by Facebook and more vertically-oriented rivals like Groupon.
It announced 100 million check-ins back in July 2010.
For the uninitiated Foursquare invites users to check-in at various locations, share their location and score points for doing so. They can even become the mayor of a location if they have the most check-ins.
In a blog post it said: “A billion check-ins was pretty cool. Thanks for helping us get there, and we look forward to the next quadrillion."
Foursquare raised $50m in the summer, and now has over 70 employees and 10 million users.
