Up 25% week-on-week.
Analytics firm Flurry says app downloads in the US were up 25% week-on-week between Thursday and Sunday, as Americans tucked into apps as well as turkey for Thanksgiving.
In fact, Thanksgiving Day itself - Thursday - saw downloads spike by 54% based on Flurry's network of apps.
Downloads were up 39% on 'Black Friday', 13% on Saturday and 4% on Sunday, meaning the big increases were focused on Thursday and Friday.
Flurry's stats also showed big jumps for the number of new mobile devices detected on the network - up 21% week-on-week for Thursday, and up 57% on Friday, fuelled by discounts from various retailers and operators.
The two spikes are related: "As consumers receive new handsets, they immediately personalize their handsets with new content," points out Flurry in its blog post.
