Appoints former Amazon media sales chief Richard Firminger to run it.
Flurry has grown prodigiously in parallel with the apps market it tracks. It launched in January 2009 but now has a monthly unique reach of 220 million users worldwide.
The company made its reputation as an analytics specialist by tracking the performance of apps across all platforms. It tracks over 4 billion app sessions per day.
On top of this it operates a recommendation-driven advertising platform, and also the cross-selling network Flurry AppCircle.
It currently claims to work with more than 40,000 companies in over 75,000 applications on iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone 7.
Firminger arrives at Flurry with 20 years' media industry experience at Amazon, Yahoo! Enpocket, AdLink and DoubleClick.
"Mobile applications have become a credible mass media channel that now challenges the web in reach and television in engagement," said Simon Khalaf, CEO of Flurry.
"We are excited to have our European division lead by Richard, who will work closely with our publishers, advertisers as well as brands and media agencies, to grow the mobile application media market."
Then firm's new Europe hub will be based in London.
