Claim their services will be running on 80% of iPhone, iPod touch and Android handsets.
Smartphone analytics firms Flurry and Pinch Media have announced plans to merge.
The companies say they'll now be able to track app usage on four out of every five iPhone OS devices, and two out of every three Android phones. That adds up to more than one billion end-user sessions a month across 50 million devices.
The new company will retain the Flurry name, and says it will support both companies' San Francisco and New York offices, hiring "aggressively" in the near-term. The merged service will also continue to be free for developers.
"Flurry has long since admired Pinch Media’s leadership in iPhone analytics and monetization, and is proud to join forces with such an accomplished team," says Flurry boss Simon Khalaf.
"Leveraging the industry’s broadest and deepest set of data for iPhone and Android, the combined company will be strongly positioned to deliver a series of monetization and marketing optimization services in ways few other companies can."
