Users invited to compete to win a MacBook Air.
Location-based iPhone app Flook is looking to boost usage over the Christmas period with a contest to get its users uploading creative Flook cards to win a MacBook Air.
The app, which is the work of UK startup Ambient Industries, gets people to create cards of 'local secrets' - places and events they want other users near that location to know about.
The contest will see the laptop awarded to the user who creates the greatest number of 'high quality cards' between now and the end of January, judged by the Flook team.
"The holidays are the perfect time to flook, to showcase new and interesting places or those home secrets only you know," says co-founder David Jennings.
Users are also being encouraged to link their Flook app to their Twitter account - which should give the app another viral boost.
