Flook gets updated with Facebook and Twitter sharing

Social location iPhone app gets all Web 2.0.

iPhone social location app Flook is getting even more social in its forthcoming update - including Facebook and Twitter features.

The app, which lets people create virtual postcards of 'local secrets' and see those of other users, will now let people share any card with their friends on Facebook and Twitter.

The latter has worked well for Foursquare in recent times - as more people share content from an app, it creates a viral buzz around the app itself among friends or followers.

The new version of Flook uses the OAuthlogin protocol for Twitter. You can already see Flook-related tweets popping up on Twitter courtesy of the company's firehose.

Other new features include a new 'notes' system for details about cards, as well as translation features for comments and details.

We're big fans of Flook, which was developed by UK startup Ambient Industries. The new sharing features should help it continue to build momentum.

The update has just been submitted to Apple, so should be available soon.
