Total viewing minutes surged 39 per cent during the first five days of tournament
FLO TV, which is offering ESPN's live coverage of all of the 2010 FIFA World Cup matches to its US subscribers, has broken out some top line viewing figures.
The South Africa vs Mexico opening game was the highest-rated sports telecast on FLO to date, with 80 per cent of those watching FLO tuned in to the match.
The company says the World Cup accounts for three of the top five viewing days on its mobile TV service, while total viewing minutes surged 39 per cent during the first five days of the tournament compared to the previous week.
FLO TV is available to AT&T subscribers equipped with an LG Vu Plus handset.
