Font-changing solution now downloadable from Ovi, GetJar and Litmus.
Monotype Imaging's FlipFont gives users the option of changing the font displayed by their phone. It offers 39 typefaces, including new additions such as Neue Helvetica and Frutiger. It's available for 62 Nokia and Samsung phones.
Other enhancements include viewable font categories such as “newest,” “easy reading,” “best selling,” “scripts,” “fun,” “elegant” and “informal”.
Among the newly supported handset models are the N96, N97 Mini, E72, 6710 Navigator, 6720 Classic, 6730 Classic, 6760 Slide, 6790 Surge and 6790 Slide and 5530 XpressMusic models from Nokia.
Julie Strawson, director of marketing, Europe, for Monotype Imaging, said: “It’s been a little over a year since we launched FlipFont on three handsets and a choice of 10 fonts on Vodafone live! UK...There are 76,000 users out there enjoying the FlipFont application; but we’re just getting started."
