Still no turbulence for Firemint's hit.
Developer Firemint has announced that it has now sold more than three million copies of its Flight Control game for iPhone.
It's the fifth iOS paid game to reach that milestone, following Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, Bejeweled 2 and Pocket God.
Firemint says that nearly 2.5 billion aircraft have been landed by players who've connected their versions of the game to the developer's Cloudcell community.
As the developer points out, per day, this is 5,000 times the daily traffic of LAX airport in Los Angeles. Albeit with many times the number of mid-air crashes too...
Flight Control has just become one of the first wave of iPhone games to support Apple's Game Center community, along with fellow Firemint title Real Racing.
