Flash Builder 4.5 and Flex 4.5 turn Flash content into apps, which in the case of iOS gets round a block on Flash web content.

They were released today giving developers a single platform for building apps that can be distributed via Android Market, iTunes App Store and BlackBerry App World.

The updates include productivity enhancements and use best practice code templates, code completion and code generation features in Flash Builder to accelerate the creation of Flex and ActionScript apps and deploy them using Adobe AIR.

By the end of the year more than 200 million mobile devices are expected to support AIR applications.

Examples of apps already built with the tools include Conqu (task management), Mr. Mixit (spin-based matching game), Netflix Queue Manager and Pyramix (word game).

Adobe has also released the Adobe Digital Enterprise Platform to give enterprises one tool, one framework and one codebase to create their own apps.
