Hoping to open up growth in Brazil and other emerging markets.
German mobile games firm Fishlabs has announced that it's porting its Galaxy on Fire game to the Zeebo console, and will release the title next month.
The device is an attempt to create a more affordable console for emerging markets, using Qualcomm's chipset and BREW technologies.
It's already attracted a number of mobile games publishers, keen to get their titles into living rooms in the launch market of Brazil, with other emerging territories due to get Zeebo in the coming months.
"Thanks to the Zeebo opportunity, with its unbeatable price-performance ration and the download over the 3G network, high-quality video games can now be introduced in growth markets such as Brazil," says Fishlabs CEO Michael Schade.
"A Fishlabs game will appear on a console for the very first time with Zeebo. It proves that we have more than met our quality requirement of developing high-quality mobile games with a console feeling."
