First BlackBerry 10 phone due in September 2012?

While a new NFC-enabled Playbook is expected in summer.

RIM's forthcoming BlackBerry 10 OS hasn't received the fanfare it was anticipating. BB10 was originally called BBX but a legal battle with a software firm forced RIM to change the name almost immediately.

We reported on a leaked image of the what is thought to be the first BB10-powered device, the BlackBerry London, though the name was soon rumoured to have been changed to the BlackBerry SurfBoard.

Now BGR says the BB10 rollout will begin in September 2012 with the BlackBerry London debut, which is expected to include16GB of storage, an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.

Another BB10 phone will reportedly follow in Q1 2013 as part of the Bold series, complete with a Qwerty keypad and slide function.

Additionally RIM is expected to introduce a new PlayBook tablet with NFC, 1.5GHz processor, built-in 3G and 42Mbps data support between May and June.
