Smartphones and tablets included in the service for British couch potatoes.
US film and TV streaming service Netflix will launch in the UK and Ireland early next year.
Its arrival will allow users to stream TV shows and films to their TV, consoles and PCs as well as smartphones and tablets offering access for those on the move.
Supporting mobile devices include Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Google's Android OS.
It's likely further expansion will follow across Europe, just last month the firm launched in Latin American and the Caribbean.
Movie hungry Britons will have to wait for more information though as the firm is currently unable to provide an official release date or price list.
Netflix has led the migration to online movie viewing in the US, Canada and the Caribbean where it has accumulated 25m members. In the US the service costs £7.99 a month and is available online as well as on Xbox 360, Wii and PS3 consoles; some Blu-ray disc players, Apple TV and Google TV.
In the UK it will face competition from LoveFilm, which was acquired by Amazon in January, and Blockbuster.
Mobile streaming has proven to be very popular in the UK, Sky Go recently reached 1.6 million users within three months.
