Acer's Liquid device, which has a limited run of 200,000, has been branded by Ferrari and sold with pre-loaded content from the company and its racing team.
Interesting move by both companies. PC vendor Acer entered the smartphone industry in 2009, with a bunch of underwhelming Windows phones and has made little impact so far despite lofty claims to reaching over five per cent of the smartphone market.
Bit weird that Ferrari should partner up with such a low-key device maker for yet another pop at the mobile space. Mind you, it previously worked with Sharp and Vertu, so maybe it's not such a stretch.
