Appy Entertainment is the latest developer to announce a seven-figure milestone.
The App Store download milestones keep on coming. Firemint revealed two million downloads of its iPhone game Real Racing GTI earlier today, and now Appy Entertainment has its own achievement to trumpet.
The company's FaceFighter game has just passed one million total downloads, spread between its premium and free versions.
“That's quite something for the little app-that-could from the scrappiest iPhone startup on the block,” blogs the company.
“We are delighted that FaceFighter has found (and continues to find) such a wide audience, and we have all sorts of plans on the boil for everyone's favourite picture-fighter.”
The game is a boxing title that lets players take photos of their friends and family, and use them for the opposing boxer. This clever bit of personalisation has clearly gone down a storm with iPhone users.

Of course, just how rich Appy Entertainment is getting off this success depends on the ratio of paid to free downloads of the game.
