Photo uploads will be made possible with upcoming software update.
Nintendo has confirmed that a future software update for the DSi will allow the machine to upload photos taken with the built-in camera to social networking site Facebook.
Little else in the way of information was offered, though The news follows the annoucement earlier that Microsoft is to provide Twitter and Facebook access through the Xbox 360.
The announcement compliments other details given at this week's E3 show regarding enhanced multimedia features for the handheld, with a video editing suite said to be on the way to DSi.
